Product -answer to a multiplication problem
Factor -numbers you multiply together to get a product
Array -objects arranged in rows and columns
Divide -sharing or grouping a number into equal parts
Fraction - representing the division of a whole into parts.
Numerator - the top part of a fraction that represents parts of a whole.
Denominator - the bottom part of a fraction that represents the total.
Equivalent Fractions - fractions that have the same value but appear different. When you multiply or divide the numerator and denominator by the same number, the fraction value stays the same.
Polygon – a plane figure with at least three straight sides and angles
Quadrilateral – A four sided figure
Vertex – the highest point, the top or the apex.
Vertices – (see vertex)
Symmetry – the quality of being made up of exactly similar parts facing each other or around an axis.
Perimeter – the continuous line forming the boundary of a closed geometric shape.
Area – the size of a surface
Right angle – having an angle of 90 degrees
Acute angle – having an angle less than 90 degrees but more than 0 degrees
Obtuse angle – having an angle between 90 and 180 degrees
Right triangle – a triangle containing a right angle (90 degrees)
Scalene triangle – a triangle with no equal sides
Isosceles triangle – a triangle with two equal sides
