Welcome to Third Grade!
Welcome all! It is an exciting time of the year as we get to know each other. Look for information to come home through the Remind App. I will send a homework reminder on Remind, so parents are aware of the daily homework. A reading log will come home daily to be completed by the student and signed by the parent to validate it was done for the day.
Multiplication Facts
We start the year learning the concept of multiplication as repeated addition. I cannot stress enough how important it is to start now with memorizing the facts. This will help in learning new concepts and it will help with keeping the pace with our math curriculum. Please work daily on memorizing multiplication facts. Some students need to play math games and write them down or some review flashcards to learn the facts.

Please keep pencil sharpeners and mechanical pencils at home.

FYI
I do not allow birthday invitations to be passed in class or at recess during school hours. This tends to cause problems in the classroom, whether you intend to give an invitation to all the students or not. This would be something to be done before or after school. Thank you for understanding.
